So, yesterday, Tom made a news post about how the rules have been changed so that you have to be whitelisted to get your song on Geometry Dash. He also said there was a low chance of being whitelisted in the first place. Now, this is supposed to fix stolen music being uploaded to Geometry Dash because lots of people were uploading stolen music, getting scouted, and then going to upload their stuff.
But for me, it just seems like a way to screw over people like me who started making songs for Geometry Dash.
Look, I got scouted literally a DAY after this post. I missed having the chance to put my songs in by a DAY. And that's the reason I even make songs in the first place. Think about that for a second- look at this from my end. And none of my stuff is stolen AT ALL. The closest my songs came to stolen is Equals Seven having a core melody similar to a song from a mobile game. This is really annoying, if you could tell. I will admit, I can't think of another solution to stop stolen music, but the fact that you need to actually become popular to be whitelisted- that would be like if Youtube deleted the channels of anyone under 1 million subs, which it's coming damn close to doing now. So, anyone reading this, please correct me, say why I'm an idiot, or say what you will anything, but this is really pissing me off. I know no one really agrees with me, but still.
