See, I don't like dubstep that much. But I LOVE drum+bass, cause you can actually be unique with it, and this is one of my favorite drum+bass songs. The intro has the upticking snare, the buildup is perfect, and the 1-minute in part is just.... REALLY good. I can't really form words to say why I like this song.

But half a star off cause the later parts sound a little off-time in some parts.

The beginning lead is too loud too quickly with no good introduction. The beginning uses this weird arped wobble that doesn't sound too good. Once you kick in the actual Drum and Bass part, then it becomes really good. The second part's melody is pretty poor. But the DnB here is servicable enough. 5/10.

I've always had a problem with dubstep songs that are dubstep for no reason. When you have an intro that's not building up to a drop and you break it in out of nowhere, it just feels forced and for no reason. The drop is..... fine? It's really loud and clippy, even for a dubstep drop. Plus it's a sudden switch to half time drums when the rest of the song is in quarter time.

The non-dubstep parts are really good, and I like the guitar.

Thanks!

To explain tho, I usually do the format of "hint at melody, bring in melody, then drop = chorus".
But for this song its more like its based around the actual drops and the melody being the carrier. Kinda like "Hydra". I switch my focuses in diff songs XD.

Just a diff format from what i usually do :D.
Just to me the melody wasn't the essence of the song but an introduction and a carrier.
Some songs are about the melody, others about the jam/percussive/vibe.

Thanks so much for the review!

YOU STOLE DIS SONG!!

(dude, even if you gave credit, that doesn't make it any less stealing.)

Funky. I really like the effects you put over the guitar progression. And I’ve always been a fan (I do this a ton) of synth mixed with real instruments.

I can’t be the only one who gets World of Goo vibes from this.

Normally I'd give something of this quality 4 stars. The shore sound can get a little annoying.

But you made this in Garageband, so you get one extra. I used to use Garageband and I couldn't go anywhere near this good.

You could have mixed it a little better, but this is REALLY good, dude.

MickeyWilsonSFX responds:

Really appreciate that! Thanks!

Wild guess- you made it nightcore so it would constitute as a remix that you could use in GD.

DJ-Nightcore responds:

not really no, I even put a notice in the description, that I did not want this song in GD, she er apro my channel, that's it

Nice to find something good and original among the effortless and blatantly stolen tracks in the unscouted forum.
